6F5P Tube Amplifier Schematic

Oil on canvas, 176 × 102 cm. 6F5P Tube Amplifier Schematic, 2023–2024. Inspired by the time when I was learning to build tube amplifiers and read electronic schematics, both this painting and the audio amplifier were created according to my own design and drawings. My father Martin Juusu, who made several tube amplifiers, was a major inspiration; one is now playing in my gallery Atekas. To build the amplifier, I used two of my grandfathers’ Riga black-and-white televisions from the 1950s–1960s and a wooden sewing-machine case. Since the Soviet televisions were mono rather than stereo, achieving stereo required dismantling two televisions. This work depicts one half of a stereo tube-amplifier schematic.
