Morning

Oil on canvas, 104 × 176 cm. Morning, 2014–2025. When the longer day around the sun began its first Tuesday rise of 2014, I was sitting by the window on the fifth floor of a panel building, watching it unfold. I decided to capture that feeling and colour on a larger canvas. The canvas barely fit into the kitchen; when the old Soviet-era window opened completely, it felt as if the whole room turned into a window.
